Why Saint Mary School of Branford?
Welcome! By visiting this site, you are taking the first step in one of life’s most exciting journeys – an education for a lifetime.
The New England Association of Schools and Colleges accredits St. Mary School. Highly qualified educators with years of experience lead our classrooms. Our teachers go through a regular process of evaluation and certification, and they meet or exceed all state regulations and guidelines. Many hold advanced degrees. This expertise in education, coupled with small class sizes, enables our children to succeed throughout their education. Our early years, elementary school and middle school students hail from the towns of Branford, New Haven, East Haven, North Branford, Northford, Madison, Guilford and throughout the Connecticut Shoreline.
At St. Mary School, we believe in educating the whole child, which means we not only invest in the basic educational curriculum, but we invest in the arts and sciences, sports and extracurricular activities. We also develop a strong community through an active social calendar.
As a Catholic school, we emphasize a faith-based curriculum centered around the Gospel core values and teachings. However, let us be clear – we are open and welcoming to students of all faiths!
The school is conveniently located just off I-95 and near the Branford, Connecticut town green and is a convenient commute from the towns of East Haven, New Haven, Northford, North Branford, Madison and Guilford. We are always investing in the school – recent physical improvements have included the installation of a SMART Table, Laptops for Grade 5-8 Students and iPads for Pre-K 3 – Grade 4 students.
Even though it is a private education, it is more affordable than you might think. In fact, more than $4.7 million in tuition assistance is granted to Catholic school students across 64 schools in the Archdiocese of Hartford alone each year through the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal and the Catholic School Support Program.
