Saint Mary School is fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and welcomes children and adolescents from New Haven, East Haven, North Branford, Northford, Madison and Guilford and other surrounding towns in Connecticut. Saint Mary School also welcomes early years, elementary and middle school students of all faiths, ethnic groups and socio-economic backgrounds.
Its faculty has an average of 14 years’ teaching experience; all possessing the requisite academic degrees and certifications to teach their respective grade level. Many hold advanced degrees, and constantly enhance their teaching competency through continuing education and spiritual retreats.
The School’s academics focus not only on the “Three R’s,” but also include: World Language, beginning in Pre-K 3; “Smart Boards”; iPads; laptops; desktops; and encouragement of independent study.
As the Iowa test scores demonstrate, our students are well educated. School-wide standardized test scores indicate above-average learning. Historically, 98% of 8th Grade students complete the entrance exams for area private high schools, and most are offered an opportunity to attend their high school of choice.
